Extended Data Package Upgrades

    Use your scan tool like the pros but pay hundreds less!!  Access hundreds more sensors & trouble codes using features normally reserved for the factory scan tools!  Most vehicles with the OBD-II standard only support 20 - 40 sensors.  The OBD-II standard covers only emissions-related Powertrain systems and sensors, so there is a lot information you won’t be able to see. With our Extended Data packages you can get dealer-like capabilities with your Scan Tool; allowing you to access many more systems and sensors so you can troubleshoot faster and replace only parts that need replacing.

    Extended Data packages are software-only updates (except Chrysler SCI) that, once purchased, will be activated via a security code sent by email. You must download software version 2.1 or higher.  The Extended Data packages are licensed to a single PC and come with free updates. There is no annual license fee.

• View generic and manufacturer extended data on the same tool - Mix and match sensors as required.  Display Generic and Extended trouble codes together.  No need to switch back and forth between 'Generic' and 'Extended' modes.
• Read and reset trouble codes from any module on the vehicle - Thousands more manufacturer specific B, C, P, and U Trouble Codes now available from ABS, Air Bag, Radio, Climate Control, & many other modules.
• Read extended Powertrain sensors -Hundreds more sensors available for both Gas and Diesel vehicles.
  • Access Engine sensors  including fuel system, knock sensors, Exhaust sensors & many others.
  • Access Transmission sensors including fluid pressures, transmission slip, solenoid status & many others.
  • Support for Chrysler Cummins, GM Duramax and Ford Powerstroke diesel platforms.
• Read extended ABS sensors - (GM & Ford only) Including wheel speeds, traction status & slip detection.
• Read extended Air Bag sensors - (Ford only) Read airbag circuit resistance and detonator status.

Chrysler SCI Adapter Cable             $50

    Our enhanced Chrysler Interface supports all Chrysler family vehicles (Chrysler, Dodge, Plymouth, Jeep, etc) 1996 and newer.  Most vehicles 2003 and newer use the NGC powertrain controller with the VPW or CAN network interface.  For 1996-2002 and legacy vehicles using the SBEC or JTEC powertrain controllers, you need the SCI interface.

    Our enhanced Chrysler SCI interface supports hundreds of sensors selected from the Powertrain system.  1996 - 2002 and legacy Chrysler family vehicles use a proprietary protocol to access extended Powertrain data called SCI.  The protocol requires a separate 'SCI Only' cable be used since it share pins with and is incompatible with ISO-9141.  Support is included for all 1996-2006 Chrysler, Dodge, Plymouth, and Jeep vehicles using the SCI interface including 4, 6, and 8 cylinder; Gas and Diesel (including Cummins).  We support both low and high speed data interrogation to provide maximum support.  All 1998 and up vehicles provide access to the OBD-II functions through the SCI interface as well as the mandated interface.  This means you maintain a single user interface for both OBD-II and extended data on these vehicles.

Please Note:  Any scan tool with a serial number below OBD-006-306 will require a microcontroller update that is included in the price if required.

GM Extended Data Upgrade                                               $100  Buy It

    Our enhanced GM interface supports hundreds of sensors selected from the Powertrain, ABS, and Transmission systems.  Support included for all GM family vehicles (Chevy, Buick, Pontiac, Olds, Cadillac, Saturn, etc)  using the VPW interface including 4, 6, and 8 cylinder; Gas and Diesel (including Duramax).  (Please note that many GM vehicles use the ALDL bus on pin 9 for ABS and AirBag Support.  If your vehicle has pin 9 connected the scan tool may not be able to read ABS and/or AirBag Codes)
